WHAT ARE OUR EVENTS ABOUT?
All meetings include plenty of opportunity to meet new and old friends in a friendly environment. In addition, most meetings feature some kind of speaker or presentation. The cost is $25/person, and includes one drink and a Scandinavian type of dinner.

WHERE/WHEN DO WE MEET?
We usually meet on the first Wednesday of every month at Ericsson here in San Diego at 6455 Lusk Boulevard. Check our website for latest details though. Reservations are required for each event and are taken at our website.

WHO SHOULD JOIN? WHO WILL BENEFIT?
You should be Scandinavian by either birth or heritage, or have a genuine interest in Scandinavian technology, business and finance. There is no cost to join or be a member.

CURRENT AND FUTURE MEMBERSHIP BASE:
At present time, we have nearly 950 members, with more signing up as word gets around. We feel the potential is at least 1,500 members within a year or two.

WHAT'S SO FASCINATING ABOUT SCANDINAVIA?
The Scandinavian countries have been early adopters of new technology for a very long time. Today the region leads the world in internet and cellphone use and penetration. A recent piece in the magazine BusinessWeek illustrates this (See The Big Picture, Source: BusinessWeek Magazine, March 19, 2001)

The cultural aspect of Scandinavia, with it's rich traditions in addition to it's beautiful nature are additional reasons to fall in love with this part of the world.

ARE THERE OTHER DIGITAL VIKINGS CHAPTERS?
Ultimately, we'd like to see that new chapters are established in other cities in the world. This will benefit all members, so that if you come to a city that has a Digital Vikings chapter, you can quickly get connected to the local talent and have an immediate circle of like minded people that can help.

HOW DO YOU COMMUNICATE WITH MEMBERS?
We send out a newsletter via e-mail approximately twice per month. There is no newsletter or bulletin in paper format.

Joining doesn't cost anything, and all you do is fill out our membership form, and you will be automagically start receiving the e-mail newsletter and notification about the events.
